Battery Park
This is one of the ports to Miss Liberty.
Also, another pic of Amanda.
|
First Miss Liberty pic. Gives
some perspective of the distance.
|
A look at the skyline towards downtown.
|
|
|
I'm not really sure what those structures
are on the skyline. I asked around, but
as luck would have it - everyone else
was a tourist. Go figure eh? :)
|
I thought the clouds made interesting
patterns. Plus another perspective on
the distance we were going to "sail".
|
I liked the clock tower. It made me
think of Big Ben in London. I was
bored, since we waiting for the
ferry to leave for about a 20 min.
Of course this was after waiting in
line to get on the ferry for 20 min
as well!
|
A tugboat and a barge!
Aren't they cute?
|
Takes about 15-20 min to
make the journey. Are we
there yet??
|
The ferry actually circles
around Liberty Island. Ain't
she a beaut?
|
The ferry docks on the rear
side of the island. Still a
lil ways to go.
|
Another skyline pic.
|
I didn't notice the
pollution while there
in the city, but just
when I made this page.
|
Just now making our way
around to the dock.
|
You can see just the
edge of the port.
|
Pigeons hang out around
the eating area of the
Liberty Island gift shop
and restaraunt.
|
More pigeons
|
A shot of the ferry I was
sailing on. Of course, you
might notice the huge ass
pigeon blocking the view.
|
Ah, there we go!
Miss Freedom awaits!
Aarrgggghhh
|
This pic was taken from
the ground. There is a path
that goes around the island.
|
|
Ellis Island. I didn't
disembark here, since I
would have been there
another 3 hours!
|
Ellis Island
Work called me after I
took this picture.
|
More Ellis Island.
|
Ellis Island.
|
Vain attempt at a panorama of
the New York City skyline.
